Mr Chaudhary and his registra Mr Dubey performed a discectomy on my spine as an emergency operation in September 2022. The care I received was outstanding for a number of reasons. - Mr Dubey fought to have my emergency case coducted as early as possible ensuring I had the best chance of a full recovery and no long-term neurological deficit. - Mr Dubey and Mr Chaudhary discussed my surgical options in detail and made clear the pros/cons based on their expertise and experience. - Following my surgery Mr Chaudhary offered me an extensive and clear outline of my recovery process as well ensuring that I had been allocated to the correct physiotherapy follow-up. The surgery itself last around 2 hours, when I awoke I was met by the surgical team and made to feel very comfortable and had my immediate concerns addressed. I then spent a relatively pain free night in hospital and met with the surgical team the next day for a further debrief. We discussed at length the residual symptoms I may feel and when I can expect significant improvement. I was also very happy to understand exactly what type of symptoms I should watch for as signs I needed urgent medical attention. All in all, fantastic care from an amazing team.

After almost 18 months of constant pain and incorrect diagnosis of my condition by my local GP service I decided to go private. Following MRI scans I approached the Manor Hospital in Oxford and was seen by Mr Roy Chaudhary. I knew immediately that I had made the right decision, his calm manner and experience were very reassuring as he fully explained my problem to me and his intended medical procedure in detail which was easy to understand. Although I have had minor surgery in the past, I knew that my back/spinal surgical procedure was going to be a big deal, so to speak, but I needn't have worried as the end result has been everything that I had hoped for. All the staff at the Manor Hospital were so very professional and I can't thank them enough for the care they showed me. However, most thanks must go to Mr Chaudhary for a job very well done. Regardless of being in my early 70's, I feel I have been given a new lease of life and the tears of pain are thankfully a thing of the past.

Dr Chaudhary was able to explain my procedure in a way I could understand, he answered my questions in a patient matter ensuring I was fully informed. He put me at my ease & I had full confidence in him & his ability even after he explained all that could go wrong. I was very happy to put myself in his care. After the operation he came to see me & explained it was a success & to ask me how I felt & continued to check on my progress in the following days. I hope I see him for my follow-up so he can see what a good job he has done. I can t think of any improvements to suggest as I am completely happy with the care I have received from all the hospital staff.

I have never used private medicine before, but when my spinal stenosis - for treatment of which I had been put on an NHS waiting list - deteriorated further, I was persuaded to go for a consultation with Dr. Roy Chaudhary. He saw me within 4 days of first contact with his secretary , and spent an hour asking questions, and really listening to the answers. He had already obtained the NHS MRI scan I had had some months earlier from the JR Spinal Unit, and explained that I needed an operation as soon as possible. He offered a date less than 3 weeks' later , and then gave us plenty of time to ask our own questions. I went ahead, and the whole experience with him and his anaesthetist, Graham, could not have been made any less daunting. They were both delightful people who clearly loved their highly-skilled professions, and were happy to spell out any possible side- effects, while also instilling a sense of reassurance and trust. My surgery went smoothly, and the immediate result - absence of the dreadful sciatic pain and numbness - totally disappeared! 16 weeks on, I continue with exercises to help some wobbliness and lower back ache, but the improvement has been nothing short of miraculous!! After the surgery, both Roy and Graham came to see me the 2 days I stayed in, and again explained and listened. So yes, I and my family have nothing but gratitude and praise for Roy, his skill, his enthusiasm, and for being such a nice person! Thank you, Roy!!
